  • Vintage Information

The 2022 vintage was characterised by particular dry and warm conditions. With the exception of March and April, all other months were warmer than the norm. The annual rainfall barely reaching 400mm, was one of the lowest in the last 100 years. June and July saw long stretches of heatwaves. However on a positive note 2022 had above average sunlight. The above conditions resulted in a late bud burst, but grape maturity caught up thanks to the warmer late spring and summer conditions together with the above average sun exposure. This all contributed to one of the best red grape vintages in the past decade with exceptional natural alcoholic potential, polyphenolic concentration and extraordinary complexity.

  • Tasting Notes

A bold, velvety and full-bodied red, showing dark cherry and redcurrant character with a harmonious balance between ripe fruit and oak. The Merlot brings richness and intensity, while Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure. Elegant on the palate, with graceful tannins and a long, lingering finish.

  • Food Pairings

An excellent match for prime cuts of beef, roast lamb, venison and other game, as well as slow-braised meats and refined dishes with rich, savoury sauces. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses.
